Jonathan Elvidge has had a passion for gadgets and quirky gifts ever since winning Young Engineer for Britain back in the year 1980. Johnathon was the creator of the original Gadget Shop which you may remember on your high street back in ’91. He has always been obsessed not only with great gadgets, but more importantly for making sure everyone could play with them, and not just a lucky few.
In 2005 Jonathan partnered with product guru Joth Baron with a vision to build the ultimate gadget shop and RED5.co.uk was born a place where anyone could get their hands on the latest innovative gadgets, and at affordable prices. The first RED5 high street shop opened in Hull in ’05, was a storming success, and over the next 6 years another 20 stores popped up across the United Kingdom, with more appearing all the time.
